Woven by Usha and Prem. Every Manchaha is woven with a unique story of its makers.
After enduring months of scorching heat, the arrival of the first rain brings an unparalleled sense of joy. Usha and Prem sought to weave this very euphoria in their masterpiece, 'Sawan ki Lehre', which translates to 'Monsoon Wave'. Both Usha and Prem adore the rain, and when they found themselves drawn to blue shades, it sparked their creativity to weave an ode to the monsoon.
This hand-knotted rug is filled with intricate 'leheriya' patterns. At the bottom right, they have woven an ocean where rainwater gathers, while in the center, a bowl brimming with water and adorned with diamond motifs symbolizes the abundance brought by the monsoon.
Though both weavers’ designs weren't planned, the final result is a harmonious tribute to their mutual love for rain and their creative synergy.
